Manifesting Your Desires through Your Menstruation Cycle: Episode 216

Hey sister! Welcome back to A Taylored Adventure to Happiness! If you are new, welcome! If you’re a regular, I love ya, I love ya, I love ya! Before we start, I just want to check in: How are you feeling? We’re living in a weird time right now with all this COVID stuff, but it’s created a lot of space for self-reflection, and I’m pressing into that.

Personally, I’ve been focusing on my body and have been trying to be more intentional with my health. I’m focusing on my immune system, building up a holistic force field around me and in me. And today, we’re going to talk about our feminine bodies. Today’s episode is all about our superhuman female cycle.

Yep. That’s right. We’re talking about our period today, and honestly, I’m so hype because I don’t think enough people talk about it. I want to make sure that each of you has all the tools you need to live an #AbundantAF life, and honoring your cycle is a tool that will harness so many of your divine female superpowers.

If you’re new to learning about how your cycle works — besides the “bitchy” behavior and chocolate cravings — get your pen and paper out because you’re going to want to take notes on this. And even if you already know how the cycle works, you might find some new nuggets in here that equip you to take full advantage of your cycle!

Your Menstruation Cycle is Your Superpower: Live in Alignment with Your Cycle

I don’t know about you, but I did NOT get taught how to work with my cycle. My period was just a monthly occurrence, something that made me bloated and grumpy. Until a few years ago, I had no idea that it was actually a superpower that allows women to manifest their passions, get clear on goals, and create more wealth and abundance in their lives.

Our periods literally allow us to tap into a superpower that catapults us into our desires, which is pretty fucking cool if you ask me. I know it might seem a little far out, but hear me out: The hormones of our cycles affect more than just our period. They affect our energies levels, our cognitive state, our nutritional needs, sex drive, weight, and even the look of our skin.

You know when you’re ovulating, and your face just has that amazing glow? It’s all part of the 28-day cycle with peaks, dips, and flows. No two days are the same, and you gotta embrace that. Once we embrace that, we are literally different humans who learn how to adapt. And why is this important? I think we sometimes expect ourselves to be at our peak every single day, right? But our bodies just do not run on that everyday peak, and when we ignore the ebb and flow of energy, that’s costing us big time.

Live in tune with your beautiful female body. When you’re out of alignment, you’ll feel frustrated, overwhelmed, and maybe even insecure. You’ll miss out on windows of times when you’re especially productive, energized, and consistent. The secret is to live in alignment with these beautiful, unique phases of our cycle, and I’m going to teach you how to do it.

Cycle One: Bleeding Winter Phase

No woman’s cycle is exactly the same. Some women have a 35-day cycle. Others have a 24-day cycle, and both can be completely normal and healthy. The magic of this approach is tuning into your body and listening to your unique rhythms. I want to give you a guide to read your cycle. It’s a four-phase cycle, which I feel like usually applies even if your cycle looks different than others.

Cycle one is Winter. This is when you’re bleeding. Winter is a time to rest, to go inward, and conserve energy. Animals in nature do it all the time – they hibernate. Your hormones are at their lowest, meaning that you’ll often feel withdrawn. You’re exhausted, partly because your uterus is shedding its inner layer. But sister, there are so many benefits to this phase.

You get to do some deep inner processing and reflecting. You get to let your intuition guide you towards your desires, maybe desires that you haven’t even realized yet. You can access subconscious ideas and information, and connect to the universe as a whole, giving you access to a magical realm.

During this phase, there’s a very thin veil between the 3D and 5D space, so go into meditation and talk to your spirit guides. Ask them simple questions, ask them what your intentions should be for the day. Let them speak back to you. Sister, you are a magical superhuman during Winter more than all the other cycles. Tap into this opportunity.

Certain challenges often come up during this time. Maybe you’re working on starting a business, but you’re so tired, and you don’t feel like getting tasks done. You also might struggle with hypersensitivity, meaning that everything is suddenly way more distracting and loud. You may need some time alone, which is completely normal and healthy. The important thing is to communicate your needs with whoever you’re living with so that they can respect you and give you the space to reflect and rest.

Cycle Two: Spring Follicular Phase

The next phase is the follicular phase, which is the Spring phase, usually days 7 – 14. In this phase, we can begin to actualize the ideas that we sew in the reflective Winter phase. The Spring season is a time for growth, birth, and renewal. It’s a season of creation, and it’s the same cycle happening in your body.

Your body is maturing eggs for ovulation, and your estrogen levels start to increase. This leaves you feeling energized, confident, and outgoing. Your brain is also wired to learn things faster and more effectively, and you’ll find yourself being optimistic and focused on future thinking. You’re excited to get creating.

This is the perfect time to get planning and to be bold taking action. I encourage you to try new things while also clarifying what action steps you need to take towards your big visions and goals. Maybe start a new hobby, like painting, piano, or yoga! Remember how you got aligned with your values during your winter phase, and then plan out those different priorities and put them into action.

Some challenges that could come up during this time is that it might be hard to support others emotionally. When you’re hitting the ground running with creativity and new ideas, sometimes your head is overwhelmed with mental stimulus. You’re a lioness, focusing on what you need to do to get where you want to be, so other people’s needs are harder to meet during this time.

And that’s totally okay — Let your partner and friends know when you’re in your Spring cycle so that they understand your energy and your needs.

Cycle Three: Summer Ovulation Phase

On days 14 through 21, you’ll enter your Summer cycle. This is when you are in full ovulation. Just as the heat of Summer makes it great for socializing and beach time, your body is also all about connection, pleasure, and play. Your estrogen levels are peaking, which means your social skills are at their highest, and your skin is clear and radiant. You also get a burst of testosterone, which boosts your libido.

You’ll feel really successful, hence that masculine energy. This is when you fully want to launch and let people see your work. This is also a time when you’ll be more available to help other people with their projects too! You’ll feel an immense space of gratitude during this time, along with an appreciation and acceptance of others.

Some of the challenges that come up during this Summer phase is that you might be tempted to lean into your masculine energy and starve your feminine energy. You’re all about doing, doing, doing, but don’t forget to think and feel. You might take on too much and find that you don’t have time to accomplish everything, which can put you behind. You might not be meeting your own needs during this time, so keep this in mind!

Cycle Four: Autumn Yang into Yen Phase

Lastly, we go into day 21 through 28, which is your Autumn Phase. This is now going from yang into yen — from masculine energy back into the feminine. The energetics highs of Spring and Summer come to an end, as you start to wind down and prepare for Winter. This is a time to cut back on your busy schedule and slow down because your estrogen levels have dropped off, and your new hormone is running the show.

That hormone is progesterone. Progesterone has a calming effect on the body, causing your mind to slow down your blood sugar levels and stabilize your energy. Your brain is primed for detail orientated tasks rather than big picture thinking. This is the perfect time to get your life in order. Use this time to sort through your wardrobe, get your meals prepped for the month, or catch up on a book.

This is also an excellent time for heart communication. What has been working for you? What hasn’t been working for you? Ask your spirit guide source questions about your goals so that you can get hyper clear on those and start shedding blockers.

Emotional stability can tend to be a challenge during this time because you’ll have those mood swings due to high levels of progesterone. Major decision making is going to be really tough during this time, so this is why it’s essential to get clear on your goals. You might also feel frustrated during this time since you’ll be starting to lose physical stamina. Winter is coming (haha), and your body knows it.

Reflect, Create, Celebration, and Learn

Sister, I hope this episode helps you better understand your body and how to use your menstruation cycle to your advantage. Because honestly, it’s your superpower. Reflect, Create, Celebration, Learn —then do it all over again. And if you don’t get it right the first time, it’s no worry. Because you get to start over, a fresh new start every single month.

I am not perfect at this — I’m far from it — so give yourself some grace. I actually have a calendar dedicated to this where I plug in different launches, different projects, and different goals that all relate to my cycle. I don’t always follow it perfectly, but it’s a great place to start, and it’s been helping me become more consistent! If this is brand new to you and if you’re overwhelmed, it’s okay! Just think about the cycles of the earth —- Winter, Spring, Summer, and Fall. Just follow those at first, listen to yourself, and intuitionally go back through this podcast and take notes!

In my upcoming interviews, we’re going to be talking a lot about our bodies, covering everything from shamanism to orgasms. We’re going deep, y’all, and I’m so hype. So again, please let me know if you’re excited to apply these things and work with your cycle! I am so incredibly grateful for each and every one of you.

I see you, sister. And remember to always choose happiness because, well, why the fuck not?
